Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Dmitry Maklakov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McKenzie drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Nikiten tries to escape but McKenzie is in control.
McKenzie scores with a couple of short elbows.
Nikiten seems a little lost for a moment, as McKenzie dominates the positioning.
McKenzie lands a few punches from side control.
McKenzie grinds an elbow into Nikiten's temple.
McKenzie cracks Nikiten with a big right hand but Nikiten just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Nikiten tries to improve position but can't.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McKenzie cracks Nikiten with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Nikiten is looking to work his way out of this bad position but McKenzie is controlling him well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McKenzie connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Nikiten some visible discomfort.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
That's one minute gone in the round.

McKenzie creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

McKenzie happy to just control the position for now.

Nikiten wants to control but McKenzie postures up.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Nikiten tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

McKenzie has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
McKenzie postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Nikiten in real trouble here! The ref calls for Nikiten to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
