Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, John Cross!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fin Shark!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Daniel Cesar and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cross tries to clinch up but Shark circles away and keeps his distance.
Cross tries to close the distance and clinch up but Shark swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Shark drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Shark decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Cross gets caught flat footed, as Shark shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Cross wants to sweep but no luck.
Shark pushes down on Cross's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Well, if Shark is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Shark decides to return to a standing position.
Cross misses with a head kick.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Shark.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cross sneaks back into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Shark trying to control from half guard but Cross is working away.

Cross tries to kick Shark off but Shark keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Cross is trying to escape back to his feet but Shark uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Cross trying to control but Shark flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
Cross tries to escape the position.
Cross is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Cross knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Shark on the ground.
Cross is breathing heavily.
Cross manages to get to his feet, escaping the difficult position.
Cross throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Cross misses with a few strikes there.
Cross throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Shark tries to clinch but Cross is having none of it.
Shark drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Shark stands up.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cross swats away the attempt to clinch by Shark.
Cross tries a head kick but it misses.
Cross tries to clinch there but Shark circles away.
Cross clinches up with Shark and pushes him back against the cage.
Cross creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Cross breaks from the clinch.
Cross darts in and clinches Shark up against the cage.
Cross escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Cross clinches but Shark breaks the clinch
so Shark counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cross working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Shark doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Shark manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Cross manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Cross cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Cross has control of Shark's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Shark regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Shark slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Shark trying to hold on to Cross's head to control him but Cross postures up.
Shark is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Cross is staying active.
Shark might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Cross kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Cross has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Shark works to full guard.

Cross has gone for a leg lock! Shark slips out almost immediately though and dives into Cross's guard.
Shark drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Shark jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Shark advances to half guard.
Shark is tying to control. Cross wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Shark trying to pass the guard but Cross defending well.
Shark is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Cross is just riding it out for now. Shark eventually gives up the hold.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cross is trying to stand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Fin Shark dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!
Cross wants to clinch up but Shark keeps it at a distance.
Cross throws a sloppy head kick and Shark moves out of range easily.
Shark shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Cross pinned against the cage. Cross gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Nice defenses there by Shark.
Cross swats away the attempt to clinch by Shark.
Cross tries to clinch but Shark moves out of range.
Shark misses with an uppercut.
Cross stuffs the takedown attempt from Shark. Shark gets slowly back to his feet.
Cross is looking to clinch but Shark is avoiding it.
Shark is breathing heavily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cross wants to clinch up but Shark keeps it at a distance.
Shark avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
John Cross is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Cross gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Shark counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Cross's guard now.
Shark stands up from Cross's guard - Shark perhaps looking for a knockout.
Cross throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Shark.

Cross wants to clinch but Shark slips to the side
and Shark counters with a nice double leg into side control. Cross won't be happy with that.
Cross tries to buck Shark off but Shark is having none of it.
Cross wants to get back to his feet but Shark drags him back down.
Cross tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Cross being controlled for a moment.
Shark advances nicely into full mount.
Cross working to try and regain half guard.
Shark tries to control but Cross wriggling away.

Cross is looking to improve his position but Shark isn't that keen on the idea.
Cross looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Shark controlling well, preventing Cross from escaping the position.
Shark is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Shark is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Cross won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Shark off his unconscious opponent!
