Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fredrick Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mihail Monarkki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reyes wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Monarkki fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Monarkki gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Monarkki closes the distance and clinches up with Reyes, looking for a takedown. Monarkki pushes Reyes against the cage but Reyes circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Monarkki shoots in for a double leg but Reyes sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Reyes ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Monarkki moves away.

Monarkki throws a right and a left that both miss.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Reyes takes a swing at Monarkki's ribcage but misses.
Monarkki rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Reyes moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Monarkki ducks under a wild hook from Reyes.
Monarkki throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Reyes's waist but Reyes gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Monarkki off to one side.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Reyes looks to throw the jab but Monarkki is out of range.

Monarkki takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Mihail Monarkki is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Monarkki moves out of range as Reyes strikes.
Reyes throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Monarkki on the side of the head.
Monarkki looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Reyes is fending him off so far but Monarkki persists. Nope, Reyes circles away and we're back to standing.

Monarkki shoots for a takedown but Reyes saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Monarkki shoots in looking for a takedown but Reyes manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Monarkki's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
