Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Igor Larinov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Beast (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Igor Larinov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tony Beast!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Larinov's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Larinov duly obliges.
Beast tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Larinov manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Larinov dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Beast. That did some damage!
Larinov misses with a double jab
enabling Beast to counter with a crisp jab.
Larinov looks to land a right hand but Beast moved out of range.
Beast fails with a takedown attempt.

Beast changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Larinov looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Beast tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Larinov takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Beast wants to control but Larinov is keeping him busy.
Beast tries to move to mount but Larinov blocks the move with his legs.
Beast misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Beast is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Larinov is trying to get back to his feet.
Beast is looking to take a break and control but Larinov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Larinov is looking for a sweep.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Beast has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Larinov swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Beast counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Beast.
Beast tries to score a body lock takedown but Larinov shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Larinov manages to break the clinch.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Beast is defended easily by Larinov.
Igor Larinov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tony Beast.
Larinov stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Larinov wants it to stay on the feet.

and Beast counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Beast is looking to take a break and control but Larinov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Beast is trying to control the action in half guard but Larinov is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Tony Beast.
Larinov throws a left and a right that both miss
and Beast cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Beast shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Beast throws a strike but Larinov avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Beast trying to control the position from guard on top but Larinov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tony Beast dominated that round.
That's time! Larinov's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Beast moves in looking to clinch but Larinov pushes him off.
Larinov moves forwards but Beast connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Larinov falls off balance throwing a combination

and Beast counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Beast looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Larinov might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Beast thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Larinov's head.
Beast throwing shots but Larinov is blocking nicely.
Beast is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Beast trying to control but Larinov is having none of it.
Beast has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Larinov is wriggling around trying to escape.

It looks like Igor Larinov has been cut.
Beast lands a big shot there that rocks Larinov but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Beast pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Larinov tries to hold on but Beast pushes him away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Larinov is working to get back to half guard.
Beast looking to control but Larinov is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Beast scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Beast sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Beast raining down shots from the mount!
Beast postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Larinov looks a forlorn figure.
Larinov on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Larinov tries to get out of the position.
Beast landing punches.
Beast pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Beast is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Larinov has managed to escape the submission attempt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tony Beast showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Igor Larinov's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Larinov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Beast tries to score a power double leg takedown but Larinov sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Beast somewhat.

No luck for Beast with that takedown attempt.

and Beast counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Beast shoots in and drives through. Larinov sprawls well.
Igor Larinov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tony Beast.
Beast throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

and Larinov takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Beast counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

and Beast counters with a nice uppercut.

Beast closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Larinov is letting Beast control him for a moment.
Beast wants to control but Larinov is keeping him busy.
Beast has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Larinov!
Beast wants to control the pace but Larinov is squirming around nicely.

Beast breaks from Larinov's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Beast sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Beast has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Larinov regains half guard.
Beast tries to pass the half guard into mount. Larinov knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Tony Beast has got the better of the ground game so far.
Beast works his way into side control.
Beast trying to control the position but Larinov is working away.

Beast working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Beast moves into full mount!
Poor strikes thrown by Beast there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Beast lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Beast throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Larinov because Beast loaded up on that one.
Beast tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Beast is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Larinov to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Larinov shrugs it off.
Tony Beast is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Tony Beast comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Beast has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
