The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blatt fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Proudstar avoids it really well and circles away.
Blatt swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Blatt fails with the takedown.
Blatt throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Proudstar throws the kick towards the body but Blatt avoids it.
Proudstar wants to slow Blatt down by chopping away at his legs.
Proudstar throws a sloppy head kick and Blatt moves out of range easily.
Blatt looks to land a combination but Proudstar avoids it well.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Proudstar will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Jeff Blatt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
