Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Luis Helguera!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Paul Tew and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kanchelskis throws a series of punches but Helguera moves out of range.
Helguera lands a slapping body shot.
Kanchelskis fails with a takedown attempt.

Helguera looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Helguera seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kanchelskis does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Kanchelskis stops Helguera from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
Helguera lands a big shot there that rocks Kanchelskis but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Helguera moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Kanchelskis has worked his arm free - good work by Kanchelskis!
Helguera cracks Kanchelskis with an elbow. That is naaassty.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Luis Helguera dominated that round.
That's time! Kanchelskis's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Helguera fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kanchelskis looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Kanchelskis fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kanchelskis swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kanchelskis throws a series of punches but Helguera moves out of range.
Helguera lands a two punch combo.
Helguera lands with a shot to the body.
Helguera throws a right hand that Kanchelskis ducks under and follows up with a left that Kanchelskis also avoids with ease.
Kanchelskis with a poor takedown
and Helguera connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Nice uppercut lands for Helguera. That snapped Kanchelskis's head back.
A punch lands to the side of Kanchelskis 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Helguera throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.


It looks like Fjodor Kanchelskis has been cut.
Helguera misses with a double jab.
Helguera is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Helguera cracks Kanchelskis with a good jab.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Helguera scores with a sloppy right hand. Kanchelskis should have avoided that one.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Helguera shoots in and gets a takedown into Kanchelskis's guard.

Helguera thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Helguera advances position into side control!

Helguera has hold of Kanchelskis's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Kanchelskis tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Helguera cranks the arm and Kanchelskis screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Kanchelskis, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Luis Helguera!
