PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alistair Ubereem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Mud (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mud comes into a darkened arena with his song building. DJ Khaled "All I Do Is Win" -- Official REMIX video (ft. T-Pain, Nicki Mina kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Chris Mud has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alistair Ubereem!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chris Mud!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paulsen Ambrosius and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ubereem looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mud is fending him off so far but Ubereem persists. Nope, Mud circles away and we're back to standing.

Ubereem drives through and clinches with Mud against the ropes.
Mud tries to land a knee to the head but Ubereem blocks with his arms.

Mud throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

That was a close round but I would say that Alistair Ubereem will probably get the nod.

Ubereem throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Mud tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ubereem is in Mud's guard.

Mud has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ubereem can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

and Mud makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Ubereem really felt that one!

Mud closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.

Ubereem has Mud pressed up against the ropes. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Ubereem pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Mud tumbling to the mat - Ubereem dives into Mud's guard.
Alistair Ubereem overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Mud wants to stand and escape but Ubereem is having none of it.
