Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between JZ Iceberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brandon Midway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, JZ Iceberg!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Brandon Midway!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Albert Achterberg and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Midway fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Nice body kick there by Midway.
Midway's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Midway duly obliges.
Midway throws a nice inside leg kick.
Iceberg tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Iceberg closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Midway quickly recovers to half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Midway is trying to get back to full guard.

Midway is refusing to be controlled, as Iceberg sits in half guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Iceberg stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Midway swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of JZ Iceberg.
Midway leaves Iceberg with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Midway shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Iceberg eats them both and turns towards Midway to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Midway gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Midway wants to stand and escape but Iceberg is having none of it.
Midway lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Iceberg!

That was a close round but I would say that JZ Iceberg will probably get the nod.
That's time! Iceberg's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Iceberg is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Midway pushes Iceberg off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Iceberg throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Midway was covering up waiting for the punch and Iceberg finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Midway is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Iceberg is aware though and is defending well.
Midway has momentary wrist control but Iceberg slips an elbow through the middle.
Iceberg wants to control from the top but Midway keeps moving.
Iceberg passes Midway's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Iceberg is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Midway doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Iceberg.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

That was a close second round but I would say that JZ Iceberg will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Iceberg tries to bum rush Midway with a series of wild strikes but Midway uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Poor strikes thrown by Iceberg there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Midway is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Iceberg.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Iceberg, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
