Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kevin Silliard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ass Blaster!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Ben Zyskovitsi and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Blaster scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Blaster with the ground and pound but Silliard regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Silliard moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Blaster throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Silliard works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Blaster missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Blaster throws and elbow that misses. Silliard uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Blaster's guard. Nice move by Silliard!
Blaster is looking to stand up but Silliard isn't so interested in that idea.
Blaster keeping moving, preventing Silliard from controlling successfully.
Silliard is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Silliard seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Blaster for as long as he can get away with.

Silliard slips nicely into half guard.
Silliard wants to control but Blaster is keeping him busy.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Silliard in particular looking to stall.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Blaster can do anything to dispel that myth.
Blaster is trying to stand.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Silliard is trying to work for a kimura but Blaster is defending well.
Blaster trying to control but Silliard postures up.

Silliard prevents Blaster from improving his position.
Blaster is in trouble now - Silliard has advanced to mount!

Blaster is squirming around, avoiding Silliard's attempts to control the action.
Silliard controlling the pace for now.
Silliard can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Blaster is looking to escape.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Blaster is in all sorts of trouble here.
Silliard sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Kevin Silliard has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Silliard throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Blaster throws a looping overhand right but Silliard ducks down to avoid it.

Silliard closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Silliard prevents the takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


A punch combination from Silliard misses.
Silliard throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Blaster.
Blaster lands a jab to the head.
Silliard tries to move into range but Blaster moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Blaster throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Silliard's waist but Silliard gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Blaster off to one side.
Blaster throws the left hand but Silliard avoids the punch easily.
Blaster bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Silliard's head backwards.
Silliard throws a right and a left that Blaster avoids nicely.
Nice takedown defense from Blaster. No joy for Silliard on that attempt.
Silliard bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Ass Blaster seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Blaster looks to throw the jab but Silliard is out of range.
Blaster will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Blaster throws a hook but Silliard blocks it.
Silliard slips under a jab.

Blaster fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Silliard sprawls well initially but Blaster persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Blaster is breathing heavily.
Silliard wants to control but Blaster is keeping busy.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Blaster stalling away here and it's allowed Silliard to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Silliard is trying to keep Blaster in close.

Silliard pushes a forearm under Blaster's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Blaster is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
