Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between alex iram (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Derren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Derren comes into a darkened arena with his song building. World Funeral kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Rick Derren looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
iram throws a right hand that Derren ducks under and follows up with a left that Derren also avoids with ease.
Derren looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Derren tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. iram manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
iram throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
iram avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

iram closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Derren misses with an elbow over the top.
Derren misses with a knee to the head.
iram on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
iram dodges an elbow strike from Derren.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

iram gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Derren regains guard.
iram's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Rick Derren is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

iram seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Derren for as long as he can get away with.

Derren is bucking up trying to escape but iram cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Derren really doesn't want to stay on the ground with iram. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

iram lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Derren circles away quickly and effectively.

iram manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Derren manages to get himself to full guard.

Derren can't keep his opponent in guard - iram advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
iram frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
iram controlling the position easily from mount.

iram pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

iram quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for iram but it's paid off an Derren is forced to tap! Nice work by iram.
