Reeves has chosen harvister of sorrow as his entrance music. John Blasko could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Norman Reeves's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Norman Reeves!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Blasko shoots in and gets a takedown into Reeves's guard.
Reeves wants to stand but Blasko is controlling the position.
Reeves is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Reeves looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Blasko won't allow Reeves to get back to his feet.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Blasko tries to close the distance and clinch but Reeves swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Reeves has had enough of the clinch but Blasko keeps him there for the moment.

Reeves wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Blasko has him pressed against the cage.
Reeves wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Reeves lands with a left to the head.

Blasko pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Reeves gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Blasko to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Blasko is pushing down on Reeves's leg trying to pass to half guard. Reeves is fighting to maintain full guard but Blasko has managed to sneak the leg through.
Reeves is looking for a sweep. Blasko is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Blasko lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Reeves trying to hold on to Blasko's head to control him but Blasko postures up.
Blasko looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Blasko connects with a nice short shot to Reeves's temple.

Blasko seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Reeves does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Reeves can do anything to dispel that myth.
Blasko takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Blasko perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Reeves really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Blasko. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Blasko has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Blasko is looking for a kimura but Reeves is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Blasko to get the leverage.
Blasko is keen to just control but Reeves is a slippery customer.
Blasko seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Blasko lands a big elbow - Reeves is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Blasko!
