The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Arvi Lind and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zarencev clinches.
Pascal has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Zarencev is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Zarencev seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Zarencev feints and as Pascal raises his hands in defense, Zarencev changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

and Zarencev counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Pascal's guard now.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Pascal enables Zarencev to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Pascal manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Pascal is pulling down on Zarencev's head. It's preventing any offense from Zarencev, at least for the moment.

Pascal is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Zarencev pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Artem Zarencev has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Leandro Pascal.
Zarencev has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Pascal clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Zarencev gets his hands free as Pascal looks to control.

Pascal defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Zarencev's arms.

Zarencev lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Pascal hold on?!

Zarencev scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Pascal tries to escape but Zarencev has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Pascal is trying to defend against the choke here but Zarencev has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Zarencev Tightens the hold and Pascal taps out furiously! Zarencev displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
