The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Otero bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Otero working the strikes but Piechocki uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Otero tries to pass the half guard into mount. Piechocki knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Piechocki trying to control but Otero postures up.
Otero is looking to stall here but Piechocki recovers full guard.
Otero trying to control but Piechocki is working from the bottom.
Piechocki trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Piechocki should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Piechocki is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Piechocki tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Otero is trying to control but can't.
Otero is not content to let Piechocki control the position.
Piechocki trying to pass the guard but Otero defending well.
Piechocki wants to stand up but Otero is controlling the position.
Otero keeping hold of Piechocki's head, controlling as best he can.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Piechocki is looking to clinch.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
