The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Irene pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Alves changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Irene looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Alves grinds an elbow into Irene's temple.
Irene tries to buck Alves off but Alves is having none of it.
