Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vitor Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gray Franklin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Franklin has chosen Deadly Avenger - We Took Pelham as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franklin fails with the takedown

so Silva counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Franklin is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Silva passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Franklin tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Silva wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Franklin, who protects the arm well.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Franklin can do anything to dispel that myth.

Silva decides to stand back up.
Silva tries for a takedown but Franklin circles away easily

and Franklin counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Silva!
Franklin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Franklin trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Silva tries to hold on but Franklin postures up.
Silva takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

It looks like Vitor Silva has been cut.
Silva wants to control but Franklin is having none of it.
Silva is trying to reverse the position but instead Franklin has taken his back - oops!
Silva turns into Franklin and is now in his guard.

Silva stands and steps away. Franklin gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Franklin shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silva wants to hold on but Franklin pushes him away.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Silva is looking to improve his position but Franklin isn't that keen on the idea.

Silva tries to lock up and control but Franklin gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Silva is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Franklin takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Silva sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Silva makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Franklin looks gassed!
Silva wants to clinch but Franklin slips to the side

and Franklin counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Silva!
Franklin lands a nice shot to the head.
Franklin looking to control but Silva is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Silva tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Franklin wants to control the pace but Silva is squirming around nicely.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Silva reaches up to try and control the position but Franklin seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Silva rolls and tries to escape and now Franklin has his back!
Silva just trying to survive but Franklin is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Franklin counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Franklin.
Silva has Franklin pulled in close to control his posture.

Silva has his foot on Franklin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Franklin works his way back into a safe position though.

Silva has his feet on Franklin's thighs here. He's pushed Franklin off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Franklin screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
