The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steele is looking to clinch.
Steele tries for a takedown but Haidar circles away easily
and Haidar counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Haidar fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Steele on the side of the head.
Steele fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Haidar with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Steele to score with a decent uppercut.

It looks like Reggie Haidar has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Steele takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Steele shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Haidar as he avoids it easily.
Reggie Haidar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Keith Steele.

Steele avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Haidar works Steele's body with a nice hook.

Haidar lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

It looks like Keith Steele has been cut.
Haidar misses with a two punch combination.
Steele has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Steele there as he acknowledges the shot.
Haidar closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Steele! Haidar dives in looking to finish! Steele is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
