The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slater shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Tzaraath pinned against the cage. Tzaraath gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Slater with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Tzaraath to score with a decent uppercut.
Slater fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Tzaraath avoids it really well and circles away.
Tzaraath lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Slater circles away quickly and effectively.

Slater tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Tzaraath just stands there and leans against the cage.
Wayiqra Tzaraath has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anthony Slater.
Slater is trying to drag Tzaraath to the mat but Tzaraath just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Tzaraath is trying to push Slater away but Slater has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Slater jumps guard but Tzaraath stands there with Slater around his waist. Slater gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Slater ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Slater no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Slater controls Tzaraath momentarily but Tzaraath frees himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tzaraath is looking to stand up but Slater won't let him.

Slater misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Tzaraath throws the left hand but Slater avoids the punch easily.

Slater throws a sloppy head kick and Tzaraath moves out of range easily.
Tzaraath connects with the punch.
Tzaraath looks to land a left hand but Slater moved out of range nicely.
Tzaraath jabs Slater right on the nose. Slater blinks but takes it well.
