Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gunnar Magnussen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maxi Uzi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Magnussen comes to the cage accompanied by Bloody Beetroots - Butter. Uzi has chosen Slipknot's Psychosocial as his entrance music. Gunnar Magnussen has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gunnar Magnussen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Maxi Uzi!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Johanna Lukiainen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uzi has his takedown stuffed
letting Magnussen counter with a right hand.
Magnussen buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Uzi has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Magnussen finds it's way round the side to connect with Uzi's head.
Magnussen throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Magnussen connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
A nice inside leg kick there by Magnussen. That's going to slow Uzi down.
A telegraphed right hand from Magnussen misses the target.
Uzi closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

It looks like Maxi Uzi has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Uzi checks a leg kick.
Uzi doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Magnussen counters with an outside leg kick.
No joy there for Magnussen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Magnussen misses with a few strikes there.
Magnussen lands with a slapping head kick.
Magnussen misses with a low kick.
Uzi tries for a takedown but Magnussen circles away easily
and Magnussen counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Gunnar Magnussen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maxi Uzi.

Magnussen shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
It looks like Magnussen is going to stand back up.
Uzi manages to get to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Uzi is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Uzi has his foot on Magnussen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Magnussen works his way back into a safe position though.

Magnussen stands up and waves to Uzi to follow him.

Uzi drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Uzi is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Uzi pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Magnussen is keeping the position for now.

Uzi is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Magnussen is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Magnussen has escaped and now he's on top!
Magnussen would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Uzi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Magnussen gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Magnussen is looking to stand up but Uzi won't let him.
Uzi wants to sweep but no luck.

Uzi had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Magnussen defends it easily.
Magnussen trying to stand up but can't free himself from Uzi's guard.

Uzi is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Magnussen frees his head nicely. Oh but Uzi has switched to an armbar! Magnussen is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
