Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gedo Sake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose PEGADOR (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jose PEGADOR has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jose PEGADOR!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
PEGADOR tries to close the distance and clinch but Sake swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

PEGADOR moves in looking to clinch but Sake pushes him off.
PEGADOR stuffs the takedown.

PEGADOR darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Sake is looking to improve his position.
PEGADOR is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
PEGADOR wants to pass the guard but Sake is defending well.

PEGADOR decides to stand and escape the position.
PEGADOR closes the distance and clinches up with Sake, looking for a takedown. PEGADOR pushes Sake against the cage but Sake circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Sake changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. PEGADOR tries to avoid it but Sake manages to keep hold of a leg and drag PEGADOR to the ground. PEGADOR escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

and PEGADOR counters with a nice double leg into guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gedo Sake. That's going to take a lot out of him.
PEGADOR stops Sake from standing up.
PEGADOR is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

PEGADOR pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sake is keeping the position for now.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
PEGADOR tries to clinch up but Sake circles away and keeps his distance.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Sake tries to lock up and control but PEGADOR gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

It looks like Gedo Sake has been cut.

PEGADOR lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
PEGADOR takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
PEGADOR cracks Sake with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, PEGADOR cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Sake is rocked!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sake is trying desperately to improve position.
Sake wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
PEGADOR postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Sake in real trouble here! The ref calls for Sake to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
