The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Metzger is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt piter will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Metzger wants to stand but piter is controlling his arm.

Metzger takes a little break here. piter wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
piter is looking to reverse the position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

piter working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Metzger doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Metzger manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Arndt Metzger is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Metzger and piter are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Metzger throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking piter into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Metzger knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
