PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Frank Warren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Farley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Warren's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, London Calling - The Clash. Charlie Farley is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 1, fighting out of London, Frank Warren!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Charlie Farley!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Ackerman and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Farley shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Warren counters with a nice double leg into side control. Farley won't be happy with that.

Warren will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Farley stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Warren swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Farley throws a combination that misses

and Warren decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Farley's guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Farley holds on and takes a little breather.
Farley looking to hit a scissor sweep but Warren is one step ahead there.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Farley is on top in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

That was a close second round but I would say that Frank Warren will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Warren with a poor takedown

and Farley counters by moving into the clinch.
Warren has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Farley is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
