The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gonzales scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Ward misses with a body kick.
Ward keeps the fight on the outside.
The fight stays on the outside here - Gonzales looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Gonzales gets tackled into the cage by Ward. Ward maintains the clinch.
Gonzales lands a damaging elbow.
Ward wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Ward is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Gonzales manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Ward works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Ward postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Gonzales can't keep his opponent in guard - Ward advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Gonzales is trying to stand.
Ward works his foot free and advances to mount.
Ward tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
