PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vic Slater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Slice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Vic Slater!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ken Slice!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Reed Andrews and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slater shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Slice as he jumps to the side.
Slice shoots in but no luck this time.
Slice misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Slater is looking to clinch.
Slater ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Slice moves away.

and Slice counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Slice wants to lay and pray for a moment but Slater keeps working.
Slice content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Slice is trying to control the action in half guard but Slater is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Slater is defending against the submission attempts here by Slice.

Slice looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Slater is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Slater is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Slice's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Slice's back!

and Slice counters with a shoot takedown. Slater fights it but they end up in guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Slice would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Ken Slice comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Slice winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
