Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Patrick Alders and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva wants to clinch but Ricard slips to the side
and Ricard counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Silva looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Ricard with a flurry of punches that miss.
Ricard trying to control the position from guard on top but Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Ricard throws and elbow that misses. Silva uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Ricard's guard. Nice move by Silva!
Ricard wants to stand but Silva is controlling the position.
Ricard has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Silva won't allow Ricard to sweep him here.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ricard is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Let's hope that Ricard has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Frank Ricard has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Ricard changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Silva looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Ricard works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Ricard tries to advance to mount but can't.
Silva is looking for a sweep.

Ricard cracks Silva with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Ricard immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Silva is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Ricard!
