Angle closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Angle lands in his opponent's guard.
Angle thows a big elbow that misses.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Landis can do anything to dispel that myth.
Angle postures up in Landis's guard and throws a big left but Landis blocks it.
Landis pulls Angle in close to prevent any damage.

Landis manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Landis works his way to his opponent's back.

Landis slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Angle just trying to survive but Landis is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Landis stuffs the takedown attempt from Angle. Angle gets slowly back to his feet.
Angle shoots in looking for a takedown. Landis tries to sprawl out of it but Angle keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Landis manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Barack Angle. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Landis lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
It looks like Barack Angle has been cut.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
A punch lands to the side of Angle 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Angle walks straight into a right hand from Landis - that's dropped him! Landis jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Angle from any more punishment! Angle complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
