The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Axe fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Alvarez looks to land a left hand but Axe moved out of range nicely.
Alvarez throws a jab but it's blocked by Axe.
Alvarez closes the distance and lands a one-two.

It looks like Andre Alvarez has been cut.
Axe moves forwards but Alvarez connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Alvarez lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Axe circles away quickly and effectively.

Andre Alvarez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Axe looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Axe backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Alvarez's temple! It sends Alvarez violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Axe celebrates and the doctors try to help Alvarez!
