PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Sagunetto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zorrito Falcon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zorrito Falcon is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Sagunetto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Zorrito Falcon!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Steve Erwin and Skip Squint.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Falcon tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Sagunetto gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Falcon counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Falcon feints and as Sagunetto raises his hands in defense, Falcon changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Falcon with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Sagunetto working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Falcon doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Falcon manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Falcon creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Sagunetto sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Sagunetto managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Falcon.
Sagunetto is looking to reverse the position.
Sagunetto knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Falcon on the ground.
Sagunetto takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Sagunetto manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Falcon moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Falcon with a couple of shots from the bottom there - nothing Sagunetto can't handle though.

Sagunetto stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Falcon swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Falcon is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Falcon had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Sagunetto defends it easily.
Sagunetto wants to stand but Falcon is controlling his posture from full guard.
Falcon tries to strike from the bottom.

Falcon has his foot on Sagunetto's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sagunetto works his way back into a safe position though.

Sagunetto has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Falcon is proving hard to escape from.
Sagunetto is breathing heavily.

Sagunetto might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Falcon is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Falcon takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Falcon lands a nice short elbow.

Falcon is trying for a kimura here. Sagunetto looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Falcon wins by kimura!
