The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Amalric is looking to land body kicks.
Cote shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Amalric as he jumps to the side.

Cote decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Amalric is not content to let Cote control the position.

The referee warns Amalric that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Amalric is squirming around, avoiding Cote's attempts to control the action.
Amalric tries to lock up and control but Cote gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
