PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ingo Pavlik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and dwayne johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). johnson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. the rock says kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pavlik tries to bum rush johnson with a series of wild strikes but johnson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
johnson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Pavlik tries to close the distance and clinch but johnson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
johnson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
johnson fails with the takedown.

johnson shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
johnson working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Pavlik's thigh. Pavlik counters though and makes it back to full guard.
johnson wants to pass the guard but Pavlik is keeping the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
johnson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
johnson wants to control from the top but Pavlik keeps moving.
johnson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
johnson advances position into side control!
johnson moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

johnson has an Americana. Pavlik didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! johnson is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if johnson hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
