The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGruber looks to land a combination but Walker avoids it well.
Walker dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
McGruber leaves Walker with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Walker doesn't manage to clinch there - McGruber circles away.
McGruber misses with an uppercut

and Walker counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in McGruber's guard now.
Walker works over McGruber with some ground and pound from guard.

McGruber escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Walker gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McGruber is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Walker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with McGruber. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
McGruber utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

McGruber is bucking up trying to escape but Walker cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
