Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Paul Hogan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brook Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hogan kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Faint - The Geeks Were Right. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Jorge Garcia and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown misses with a takedown attempt - Hogan sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Hogan looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Brown looks for a takedown but Hogan sprawls well.
Hogan wants to clinch up but Brown keeps it at a distance.
Brown tries for a takedown but Hogan sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Paul Hogan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brook Brown.
Brown shoots in and gets a takedown into Hogan's guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Brown's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hogan has momentary wrist control but Brown slips an elbow through the middle.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Brown accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Brown postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Brown connects with a nice short shot to Hogan's temple.
Brown looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Hogan with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Hogan is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Brown is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Brown seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Oh Hogan is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hogan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Brown lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Hogan! More strikes land and this one is all over! Brown jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brook Brown!
