Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Adi Dassler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will Sams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Adi Dassler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Will Sams!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dassler throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Sams tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Dassler is in Sams's guard.

Dassler drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dassler jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Dassler engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Dassler's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Sams is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sams can do anything to dispel that myth.

Sams is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Dassler really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Sams thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Adi Dassler.

It looks like Adi Dassler has been cut.
Sams stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sams wants it to stay on the feet.

Sams moves into the clinch.

Sams gets a trip takedown into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Sams tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Dassler.
Dassler is pressing down on Sams's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Sams with a flurry of punches that miss.

Sams is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Sams tries to free his leg and advance position but Dassler is retaining full guard.
Sams is working Dassler over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Sams really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dassler. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Sams wants to control from the top but Dassler keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Will Sams.

Sams closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dassler to the mat! Dassler manages to get full guard.

Dassler is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sams accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Dassler manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sams manages to get himself to full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The crowd cheers as Sams lands an impressive looking overhand right. Dassler doesn't seem phased though.

Sams must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Sams is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Dassler's half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Dassler tries to kick Sams off but Sams keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Dassler passes into half guard under a barage of strikes.
Sams has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dassler is working away from the top position though.
Sams is not content to let Dassler control the position.
Dassler content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Dassler wants to pass the guard but Sams is defending well.
Sams wants to control but Dassler is keeping busy.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Will Sams hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Sams is defended easily by Dassler.
Will Sams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dassler swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Sams counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Sams is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Sams has hold of one of Dassler's legs. Dassler is fighting the takedown attempt but Sams gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Dassler pulls Sams in close to his closed guard and prevents Sams from doing any damage or advancing position.

Dassler bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sams's guard.
Sams controls Dassler momentarily but Dassler frees himself.
Adi Dassler has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Sams pulls Dassler in to control the position.
Sams throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Will Sams is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Well Sams has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
