Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Glen Quagmire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and August Spies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quagmire comes to the cage accompanied by Die MotherFucker Die. Spies has chosen Great Cop by Fugazi as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spies is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Spies tries to close the distance and clinch up but Quagmire swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Quagmire lands a head shot.
Quagmire avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Spies has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Spies there as he acknowledges the shot.
Spies closes the distance but Quagmire moves to the side
letting Quagmire counter with a right hand.
Glen Quagmire seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Spies tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Quagmire manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Quagmire lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Quagmire swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

The crowd cheers as Quagmire lands an impressive looking overhand right. Spies doesn't seem phased though.
Quagmire comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Quagmire throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Quagmire ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Quagmire tests Spies's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Spies takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Quagmire throws a leg kick but Spies sees it coming and moves out of range.
Quagmire connects with the punch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Quagmire stuns Spies with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Quagmire, as that shot connected.
Quagmire gets in close and tags Spies with a short punch that almost sends Spies to the mat! Oh Spies is in big trouble! He turns his back on Quagmire, trying to create some distance but Quagmire rushes him, striking wildly and Spies goes down! The referee tackles Quagmire into the cage to end the fight! Quagmire is one violent man!
