The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alisson drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Alvez misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Alvez tries to clinch up.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Alvez stuffs the takedown.
Alvez throws a looping overhand right but Alisson ducks down to avoid it.
Alvez misses with a jab, cross combination.
Alvez is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Alisson.
Alisson shoots in for a double leg but Alvez sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Nice takedown defense from Alvez. No joy for Alisson on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ice Alisson. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Alisson takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Alvez should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Alvez sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through Alisson's defenses. It connects perfectly with Alisson's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
