3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Senshi Jaa! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Stewart Dunkirk and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice takedown defense from Jaa. No joy for Espinoza on that attempt. Jaa shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Jaa landing some decent shots from guard. Espinoza keeping moving, preventing Jaa from controlling successfully. Jaa passes into half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Espinoza manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Espinoza is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Jaa working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Espinoza's head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jaa trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Espinoza looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Jaa wants to control from the top but Espinoza keeps moving. Jaa is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Espinoza working for a triangle but Jaa defends it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jaa has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Espinoza to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Jaa is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Espinoza pulls down on the head and he's put Jaa to sleep! This one is all over!
