Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Darnell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lincoln Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thomas has chosen Pulse of the Maggots as his entrance music. Lincoln Thomas has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Bruce Darnell's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas missing with a left hand there. Darnell was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Darnell shoots in looking for a takedown but Thomas manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Darnell's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Thomas got a little sloppy there for a moment and Darnell has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Thomas has managed to get both his arms back between Darnell's legs - danger averted.

Darnell closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Thomas seems a little lost for a moment, as Darnell dominates the positioning.
Darnell is trying to ground and pound but Thomas uses the momentary lack of control by Darnell to regain half guard.
Thomas wants to improve his position but Darnell is controlling well.

Darnell is looking for a kimura but Thomas is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Darnell to get the leverage.

Darnell is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Thomas to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Thomas shrugs it off.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Darnell is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Thomas is aware though and is defending well.
Darnell is looking to sweep but instead, Thomas has passed into half guard.
Thomas is taking a breather. Darnell says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Darnell is trying to get back to full guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Thomas fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Darnell has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Thomas throws a lazy right hand but Darnell sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Darnell is rocked!
Thomas flashes Darnell a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Darnell's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Darnell crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Thomas punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
