Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Johnny Field (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benjamin Brownie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Benjamin Brownie will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brownie shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Field eats them both and turns towards Brownie to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Field is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
No joy there for Brownie, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Brownie lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Field circles away quickly and effectively.
Nice defenses there by Field.
Field throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Brownie.
Brownie avoids a punch combination nicely.

Field drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Field drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Brownie manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Field has Brownie in his guard.
Brownie wants to pass the guard but Field is keeping the position.

Field pulls Brownie in close to prevent any damage.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Field is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Brownie is aware though and is defending well.

Field looking for a guillotine here but Brownie defends easily.
Field wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Field controls Brownie momentarily but Brownie frees himself.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Field pulls Brownie in to control the position.

A close round but Benjamin Brownie will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Brownie throws a right and a left that Field avoids nicely.
Field shoots for a takedown but Brownie saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Brownie stuffs the takedown.
Brownie lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Brownie thuds his right hand into Field's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Field takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Field bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Johnny Field is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Brownie will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Field looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Brownie is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Field seems to be looking for submissions.

Brownie regains full guard. Nicely done.

Brownie has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Field is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Brownie.
Brownie sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Field is working for a kimura but Brownie is defending it quite comfortably.

Brownie is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Field holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Field is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Brownie pulls his head out easily.
Field is pressing down on Brownie's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Field is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Brownie wants to get up but he can't break Field's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Field seems keen to control Brownie's posture.
Field is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Benjamin Brownie showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Left hook, right uppercut from Brownie.
Field walks into a left hand.
Brownie closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Brownie swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A looping hook to the body misses from Brownie. Field does a little dance to reset his feet.
Field shoots in looking for a takedown. Brownie tries to sprawl out of it but Field keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Brownie manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Brownie rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Field moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Brownie connects with a nice looking jab.
Field's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Brownie connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Field scrambles back to his feet.
Field takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Brownie throws a series of punches but Field avoids them all with ease.
Brownie misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Field.

Field fails with the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johnny Field. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Brownie cracks Field with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Brownie with a hook.
Brownie lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Brownie bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Field's head backwards.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Field takes one on the button.

Field is rocked!
Brownie ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Brownie connects with a good right hand that stumbles Field. Field circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Oh Field is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Brownie misses with a hook.
Brownie throws a shot from downtown. Field moves away and avoids it.
Field seems to have got his legs back now.
A jab from Brownie finds it's way through Field's defenses.
Benjamin Brownie is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

BOOM! Brownie lands a beautiful left hook that drops Field. Field tries to recover but Brownie is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Field lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
