Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alejandro Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cameron Haven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Cameron Haven enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alejandro Sanchez!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cameron Haven!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Haven pinned against the cage. Haven gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Sanchez tries to move into range but Haven moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.


Sanchez is rocked!
Sanchez closes the distance and clinches up with Haven, looking for a takedown. Sanchez pushes Haven against the cage but Haven circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Sanchez scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Sanchez is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Haven is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Haven is looking to regain half guard here but Sanchez keeps moving and retains side control.
Sanchez wants to control but Haven is keeping him busy.
Haven sneaks back into half guard.

Sanchez seems to be looking for submissions.
Sanchez trying to mount his opponent but Haven defends it.

Sanchez thows a huge punch but Haven dodges it nicely.
Sanchez seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Sanchez is looking to advance position but Haven won't allow it.
Haven is looking for a sweep. Sanchez is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Sanchez has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Sanchez throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Haven misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Horrible takedown by Sanchez or perhaps it was just good defense by Haven which made him look bad.

Sanchez shoots in looking for a takedown. Haven tries to sprawl out of it but Sanchez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Haven manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Haven shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Haven stands up from mount. Strange move.
A combination from Haven does no damage.

Haven must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Sanchez had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Haven is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Sanchez Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Haven's back instead.
Sanchez tries to keep control of the position but Haven is staying busy.
Haven trying to control but not successfully.
Haven manages to reverse the position and now he's in Sanchez's guard. Nice work there by Haven.

Sanchez throws his legs up looking for a submission but Haven uses it to pass to side control.
Haven in side control lands a decent elbow.
Sanchez is trying to improve his position.

Sanchez is working hard here to advance position.
Sanchez can't do much from the bottom here.
Sanchez trying to control but Haven flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Sanchez in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Sanchez advances position into side control!

Sanchez thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Sanchez is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Haven knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Haven is trying to improve his position.

Sanchez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sanchez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Sanchez happy to just control the position for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cameron Haven dominated that round.
That's time! Sanchez's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Haven misses with a jab, cross combination.
Sanchez gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Haven counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Sanchez looking for a sweep. Not yet Sanchez, not yet.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sanchez is on top in guard.

Sanchez drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Haven dives on top into guard.
Haven with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Sanchez has his foot on Haven's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Haven works his way back into a safe position though.
Haven makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Haven wants to control from the top but Sanchez keeps moving.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Cameron Haven seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Haven counters with a shoot takedown. Sanchez fights it but they end up in guard.

Sanchez postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Haven looks a forlorn figure.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Sanchez goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Haven is on top in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Haven wants to get up but he can't break Sanchez's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Sanchez bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Haven's guard.

Haven prevents Sanchez from improving position.
Haven is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Sanchez has just dragged him back down to the mat.
The ground and pound from Sanchez seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Haven is not content to let Sanchez control the position.
Sanchez laying and praying for a moment but Haven takes advantage and regains half guard.
Sanchez seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Sanchez tries to pass the half guard into mount. Haven knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Haven misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Haven will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Sanchez fails with the takedown
and Haven counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Oh Sanchez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Haven slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Cameron Haven showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Haven shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! Sanchez is on queer street and Haven is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!
