The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Trevor Gratis and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jones takes the fight into the clinch.

Sandar gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Jones regains guard.
Jones wants to get back to his feet but Sandar is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Sandar wants to pass the guard but Jones is keeping the position.

Jones rushes Sandar and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
A nice left hand lands by Jones.
Jones's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Sandar steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Jones.
Jones clinches but Sandar breaks the clinch

so Sandar counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Sandar controls from within his opponent's guard.
Sandar trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Sandar stands and throws Jones's legs to the side, diving into side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Sandar advances to full mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Julian Sandar dominated that second round.
That's time! Sandar's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!



Sandar bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Sandar cracks Jones with a big elbow.
Sandar advances to mount.
Jones really wants to buck Sandar off and get back to his feet.
Jones is squirming around, avoiding Sandar's attempts to control the action.

Sandar stands up from mount. Strange move.
Jones scores with a jab to the jaw.
Jones keeps the fight on the outside.
Jones is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Jones takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Jones keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jones tries to clinch but Sandar moves out of range.
Jones fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Jones has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Sandar finds it's way round the side to connect with Jones's head.

Jones gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Sandar passes Jones's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Sandar not doing much here.

Sandar is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Jones has managed to free his arm - good work.
Jones is trying to stand up here but Sandar is controlling him well.
Jones is in trouble now - Sandar has advanced to mount!
BOOM! Sandar connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Jones is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Sandar throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Jones because Sandar loaded up on that one.
Julian Sandar overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Sandar tries to control but Jones wriggling away.
Sandar thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Sandar won't let Jones get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sandar lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

Sandar looking for a guillotine from mount but Jones is having none of it.
Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sandar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Jones wants to try and get back to his feet.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Sandar tries to control but Jones wriggling away.
You get the feeling that Jones really doesn't like being in this position too much.
A nice elbow there by Sandar.


It looks like Johnny Jones has been cut.
Jones is trying to stand.
BOOM! Sandar connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Sandar controlling the position easily from mount.
Sandar seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jones for as long as he can get away with.

And that's the end of the fight!
Julian Sandar showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Sandar has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
