The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

labandi closes the distance and clinches.
Bato stops a takedown attempt from labandi.

labandi has hold of one of Bato's legs. Bato is fighting the takedown attempt but labandi gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Bato wants to stand up but labandi is controlling him.
labandi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bato on the ground.

labandi drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bato manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now labandi has Bato in his guard.

labandi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bato gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Bato got a little sloppy there for a moment and labandi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bato has managed to get both his arms back between labandi's legs - danger averted.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Bato manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. labandi manages to get himself to full guard.

Bato looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks labandi with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
