Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mikhail Chivitchian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rogers Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nelson has chosen Housequake as his entrance music. Rogers Nelson told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chivitchian thows a body shot but no joy.
Chivitchian throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Nelson sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Nelson jabs at Chivitchian's body.
Chivitchian takes one to the chin there.

Nelson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Nelson lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Chivitchian avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Chivitchian looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Nelson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Nelson is in close to Chivitchian's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Chivitchian wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nelson drops back looking for a leg! Chivitchian is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Chivitchian manages to kick Nelson off! Nelson jumps back into Chivitchian's guard.
Nelson works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Chivitchian is trying to stand back up but Nelson is controlling him
Nelson is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Chivitchian is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Nelson pulls his head out easily.
Chivitchian has hold of Nelson's hands but Nelson slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Nelson lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Nelson is looking for a kimura but Chivitchian is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Nelson to get the leverage.

Chivitchian looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Nelson takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Nelson is trying for a kimura here. Chivitchian looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Nelson wins by kimura!
