Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dexter Morgan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse Brinkley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morgan kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Hear Me Now. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jesse Brinkley was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Morgan shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Brinkley is trying to defend but Morgan finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Morgan not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Morgan is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Brinkley sees it coming and defends easily.
Brinkley is refusing to be controlled, as Morgan sits in half guard.

Brinkley is trying to stand back up but Morgan is controlling him
Morgan is trying to control the action in half guard but Brinkley is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Morgan thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Morgan tries to pass to full mount but Brinkley defends it.
Morgan thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Brinkley's head.

Morgan thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Brinkley really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Morgan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Morgan lands a nice short elbow.
Brinkley is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Morgan scores with a couple of nice shots.
Morgan seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Brinkley does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Morgan thows a huge punch but Brinkley dodges it nicely.

Morgan frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Morgan is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Brinkley has managed to escape the submission attempt.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Morgan cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

It looks like Jesse Brinkley has been cut.
Morgan cracks Brinkley with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Brinkley's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Morgan with shots to the head and body - Brinkley looks very uncomfortable down there.

That has opened up Jesse Brinkley's cut even more.
Morgan lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Jesse Brinkley's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jesse Brinkley's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
