Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rudy Fernandez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Georg the Caliph (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Fernandez might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to God of Hell Fire. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rudy Fernandez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Georg the Caliph!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
the Caliph misses with a lunging right hand
and Fernandez counters with a nice uppercut.

and Fernandez counters with an inside leg kick.
the Caliph looks to land a right hand but Fernandez moved out of range.

Georg the Caliph seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
the Caliph fails to land with a series of punches.
the Caliph pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Fernandez takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
the Caliph shoots for a takedown but Fernandez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

the Caliph fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fernandez manages to avoid it.
A looping hook to the body misses from the Caliph. Fernandez does a little dance to reset his feet.

and Fernandez counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for the Caliph!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Fernandez can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as the Caliph is looking to escape.

A close second round but Georg the Caliph will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fernandez is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Rudy Fernandez overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
