Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Roman Empire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hostrel Von Straztle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Empire comes to the cage accompanied by Protectors of the Earth. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Von Straztle looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Empire is staying active underneath Von Straztle, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Empire is trying to stand.
Empire regains full guard. Nicely done.
Empire pulls Von Straztle in close to his closed guard and prevents Von Straztle from doing any damage or advancing position.
Empire's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Von Straztle thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Von Straztle drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Von Straztle jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Von Straztle tries to lock up and control but Empire gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Empire has hold of Von Straztle's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Von Straztle manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
