The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Jules, right into the meat.
Doarmario changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jules tries to avoid it but Doarmario manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jules to the ground. Jules escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Doarmario shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Jules displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Doarmario throws out the jab.
Jules fails in his attempt to clinch.
Doarmario stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jules.

Doarmario scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Doarmario with the ground and pound but Jules regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Jules pushes Doarmario off looking to stand but Doarmario dives back in and keeps control.
Doarmario looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Doarmario looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Doarmario wants to control but Jules is keeping him busy.
Doarmario prevents Jules from standing back up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Doarmario seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jules does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
