Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joey DeMaio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodrick Skiter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rodrick Skiter!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Dmitry Maklakov and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
DeMaio fails to land the takedown.
DeMaio shoots in and gets a takedown into Skiter's guard.
DeMaio drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and DeMaio jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
DeMaio is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
DeMaio drops back looking for a leg! Skiter is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Skiter manages to kick DeMaio off! DeMaio jumps back into Skiter's guard.
DeMaio passes Skiter's left leg - he's now in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
DeMaio is trying to work for a kimura but Skiter is defending well.
DeMaio is working for a submission of some sort.
DeMaio is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Skiter is just riding it out for now. DeMaio eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
DeMaio is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Skiter doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time DeMaio.
DeMaio is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

DeMaio is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
DeMaio looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
DeMaio seems to be looking for submissions.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

DeMaio swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Skiter is now in DeMaio's guard. A big mistake from DeMaio there, giving up the dominant position!
DeMaio controls Skiter momentarily but Skiter frees himself.
Skiter would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
DeMaio is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Joey DeMaio wasn't doing enough on the ground.
A telegraphed right hand from Skiter misses the target.
Skiter slaps away a takedown attempt from DeMaio, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Skiter connects with a left and a right that sees a clearly hurt DeMaio covering up! Skiter comes in with a big uppercut and DeMaio goes doooown! He's slumped up against the cage, eyes staring blankly into space.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Rodrick Skiter!
