The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rutten tries to bum rush Estevez with a series of wild strikes but Estevez uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Estevez tries to clinch up.
Rutten misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Estevez looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Estevez fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Estevez lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Rutten has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Rutten and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Estevez throws a leg kick but Rutten checks it.
Rutten throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Estevez on the side of the head.

It looks like Carlos Estevez has been cut.

Rutten throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Estevez tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Rutten is in Estevez's guard.
Rutten is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Rutten's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Rutten sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Estevez's guard.

Rutten maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Estevez could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Rutten has cracked it and Estevez is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Rutten!
