Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Teddy Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christian Starter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Starter has chosen Will Smith - Party Starter as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Christian Starter!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Trevor Gratis and Ian Loll.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Williams.
Starter looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Williams closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Williams lands in his opponent's guard.
Starter controls Williams momentarily but Williams frees himself.
Williams with a flurry of punches that miss.

Starter kicks Williams off and gets to his feet.

Williams tries to free his leg and advance position but Starter is retaining full guard.

Starter is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Starter shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Williams's guard.
Williams wants to stand and escape but Starter is having none of it.

Starter won't allow Williams to sweep him here.
Williams looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Starter puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Williams wants to improve his position but Starter is controlling well.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Williams drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Williams postures up and lands a big shot to Starter's brow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Starter tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Williams closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Starter to the mat! Starter manages to get full guard.

Starter kicks Williams off and gets to his feet.
Williams throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Starter.

Williams scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Starter is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Williams scores with a couple of nice shots.

Williams stands up and beckons Starter to join him on the feet.

Starter rushes Williams and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Starter fails to pull guard.
Starter goes for a takedown in the clinch but Williams prevents it.
Teddy Williams has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Christian Starter.
Starter lands a knee to the head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Williams wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Starter has him pressed against the cage.
Starter prevents Williams from breaking the clinch.
Williams can't break the clinch.
Williams jumps guard but Starter stands there with Williams around his waist. Williams gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Starter blocking some punches.
Starter prevents a takedown attempt there.
Starter with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Williams manages to break the clinch.

Starter bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Williams regains half guard.
Starter working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Starter takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Williams on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Starter uses his free foot to push down on Williams's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Williams.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Starter connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Williams is trying desperately to improve position.

Starter wants to finish this one by submission but Williams is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Starter.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Teddy Williams dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

and Williams counters with a three punch combo that has Starter backing up. Starter nods at Williams to acknowledge the strikes.
Starter tries to clinch up.
A big right followed by a crushing left from Williams knocks Starter out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
