Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mauricio Nicolosi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackson Pollack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nicolosi comes to the cage accompanied by Not Afraid. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Jackson Pollack enters the cage!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mauricio Nicolosi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jackson Pollack!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nicolosi lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Pollack swings wildly with an uppercut but Nicolosi uses good head movement to avoid it.
Pollack tries to stall but Nicolosi uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Nicolosi is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Nicolosi got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pollack has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nicolosi has managed to get both his arms back between Pollack's legs - danger averted.

Nicolosi has his foot on Pollack's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pollack works his way back into a safe position though.

Pollack drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Nicolosi dives on top into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

It looks like Mauricio Nicolosi has been cut.
Pollack postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
