The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Marco Blurström and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rahman looks to land a right hand but Matsdottir moved out of range.
Matsdottir on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Rahman cracks Matsdottir with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Rahman lands with a slapping head kick.
Matsdottir gets a clinch.
Matsdottir has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Rahman is trying to keep an underhook but Matsdottir manages to get the takedown into half guard.

I looks like Matsdottir might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Matsdottir remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Matsdottir misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Matsdottir moves into the clinch.
Rahman is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
